Chapter 1: The Journey Begins
A couple embarked on a train journey, but the events of that night led to one’s untimely demise, creating a perplexing mystery for the police and the victim's family.
Kumari Indu, a 25-year-old student at the National Institute of Technology Calicut in Thiruvananthapuram, was pursuing her research studies in 2011. She was known for her beauty and intelligence, focusing diligently on her academics. During her time at college, she developed a friendship with her teacher, Subhash, who was slightly older. Their bond deepened over time, eventually blossoming into a romantic relationship.
One day, Subhash proposed to Indu, and she accepted. Following the engagement, he began planning their wedding in secret. On April 24, 2011, he booked a train from Thiruvananthapuram to Kozhikode, intending to surprise Indu with a marriage proposal during the trip, along with honeymoon arrangements to Sikkim.
However, the situation took an unexpected turn when Indu’s parents unexpectedly visited Subhash’s home that same day. Her father handed Subhash Indu's wedding invitation card, stating that he was expected to attend as her best friend. The revelation that Indu had consented to a different marriage left Subhash feeling betrayed and heartbroken.

Indu, however, firmly stated that her parents would never accept a marriage with someone from a lower caste and declared their relationship over.
Subhash, still hopeful, attempted to persuade her to reconsider. Indu, frustrated by his persistence, raised her voice, drawing attention from fellow passengers. Understanding the need for privacy, Subhash suggested they move to the train's doorway for a more discreet conversation.
Heartbroken and humiliated, Subhash continued to plead with Indu, but she reiterated her commitment to another man, insisting her parents were not forcing her into the marriage. In a sudden fit of rage, Subhash pushed Indu out of the moving train as it crossed a river bridge in Prayagraj at around 2 AM. She struck her head against the bridge and fell into the river.
Subsection 1.1.1: The Aftermath
After the tragic incident, Subhash exited the train at the next station and returned home. The following day, Indu's father attempted to reach her by phone, only to find it turned off. Unaware that they were traveling together, he inquired about her whereabouts from Subhash, who feigned ignorance.
As days passed without any news, Indu's father reported her missing to the police. Meanwhile, laborers discovered her body while extrac
