Chapter 1: Welcome to Episode #132

Greetings, fellow readers and writers! In this edition, I’m excited to share a selection of my cherished articles alongside those nominated by our dedicated editors and wonderful readers. We appreciate your understanding as we navigate delays with some stories — managing a vast publication with just 30 editors is no small feat, and yesterday we welcomed 200 new writers to ILLUMINATION, increasing the workload even further.

Reflecting on health statistics, I was shocked to learn that 27 individuals lose their lives each day in the UK due to alcohol-related issues, as reported by the British Medical Journal. This prompted me to share an article in Mike's new Health & Science publication.

Additionally, I posted a thought-provoking piece on alarming medical news in the Health & Science section, inspired by an invitation from Dr. Yildiz.

Chapter 2: New Publications and Community Contributions

Yesterday, Mike introduced Dr. Adam Tabriz, who will be contributing to his publication. I also wanted to share a personal movie story that I hope brings joy to my readers. Speaking of joy, Mike's Bollywood-inspired piece had me dancing in front of my computer, showcasing that Health & Science can indeed be entertaining!

In his new Health & Science collection, Mike highlighted the top 10 stories that have garnered a lot of attention from curious readers. For those who may have missed it, he created a special featured collection in a satirical style, a format I aspire to explore further.

Mike has curated 100 collections thus far and has recently launched a new publication focusing on health and science topics. I’m thrilled to have been invited to serve as an editor, allowing me to nominate and curate exceptional stories from this publication, aiming for it to grow as significantly as ILLUMINATION.

Chapter 3: Celebrating ILLUMINATION’s Milestone

As we celebrate ILLUMINATION’s fourth anniversary, I want to acknowledge the inspiring articles Mike recently published, particularly those focusing on women's empowerment in the context of breast cancer and support for women in tech.

Dr. Mehmet Yildiz has also shared links to some of his boosted stories to encourage non-members to join Medium. I plan to follow suit, as reading ratios are currently low, and I encourage other writers to create similar collections with links.

Recently, we informed writers in the Lampshade publication that they can no longer monetize their content there, as the policy now prohibits the monetization of AI-generated content.
