Chapter 1: A Journey Through Time

Now, who did you think I was referring to?

I began writing this column in late January of last year, resolved to produce an article every single day, regardless of the weather. For the initial seven months, this commitment went well (rain or shine), but after August 10th, life interfered, and I stopped writing for the remainder of 2021.

Not a major setback, really. As Forrest Gump wisely noted, “It happens.” I made a fresh start with the new year in 2022, and thus far, it’s been going smoothly. Some of my posts, however, are indeed “Blast from the Past” pieces, like this one. I strive to minimize these, but sometimes circumstances lead me to revisit older content to maintain the daily rhythm of my column. Plus, it allows new readers the opportunity to engage with previous articles.

Typically, I share the piece I published on the same date, but one year ago. This won't pose a problem until August 11th, as there are no articles published between that date and December 31st of the previous year. So, as we approach that time in a couple of months, I’ll need to find another “Blast from the Past.” We’ll see how that unfolds—stay tuned...

For now, I do have an article that was penned exactly a year ago, and it’s filled with meaning. Please indulge my quirky obsession with earning a modest 13 cents a day and click the link below. (Aha! The subtitle at the top of today’s article makes perfect sense now!)

So many interpretations for a term that isn’t even recognized!
