Another remarkable hybrid was the Lamborghini Sián, unveiled at the 2019 Frankfurt Motor Show. This limited-edition masterpiece combined a 6.5-liter V12 engine with a supercapacitor-based electric motor, generating a breathtaking 819 horsepower, making it Lamborghini's most powerful car to date. The electric motor enhanced acceleration, providing an electric boost during gear changes for an exhilarating driving experience. Lamborghini's chief technical officer, Rouven Mohr, has indicated that the timing for a fully electric sports car isn't ideal just yet, which showcases their thoughtful approach to this transition.

The SSP, designed for versatility, will cater to various brands within the VW family, including Bentley, Cupra, Seat, Skoda, and Volkswagen, and is set to enter production in 2026 with an 800-volt architecture enabling rapid charging of up to 350 kW.
